MASSIVE 2012 REID FALCO SALE - NOW SOLD OUT - PRE-PURCHASE FOR JUNE ARRIVAL TO SECURE THIS AWESOME DEAL!!!
A light and fast workhorse, the 2012 Reid Falco is our top-of-the-line road bike and without a doubt, Australia’s Best Value FULL Shimano 105 Road Bike.
Featuring a lightweight 6061 alloy frame and carbon fibre forks to absorb road shocks, it also has Shimano hubs, Alex rims, quality FSA handlebars, stem and seatpost.
Shimano 2300 is what we use on our popular Reid Osprey bikes. This is more than adequate for everyday riding and many Ospreys have been used for commuting, in duathlons, triathlons, and other events. But Shimano 105 takes it up a notch. What you get is a lighter, smoother, more refined, and even more durable groupset for better overall performance.
Typically, bikes with 105 5700 gearing retail for around $2000 - even then many brands skimp on cheaper chainwheels and brakes.
And the Shimano 105 5700 groupset alone retails for $1000-$1250, depending on the shop.
So the question must be asked, "Why Buy the Groupset When You Can Buy The Complete Bike for Cheaper?"
We urge you to do your research to fully appreciate the Reid Falco's value.
These are some of our findings...
1. Giant DEFY 1 (RRP $1500) - Alloy frame, Carbon fork (similar). Tiagra Cassette+Chain (much cheaper). Tektro brakes (much cheaper). And much cheaper Shimano crankset.
2. Trek 2.1 (RRP $1600) - Similar frame+fork. Tiagra Cassette (much cheaper). Much cheaper crankset. And no-name brakes.
3. Scott Speedster s20 ($1699) - Similar frame+fork. Partial 105. Cheaper Tiagra Chain+Cassette. Cheaper non-105 Shimano brakes.
Come test ride the Reid Falco before spending $3K on a road bike. You will be glad you did!
** The Falco comes in 51cm (S), 54cm (M), 57cm (L) and 60cm (XL) frame sizes.

Customer Reviews:
"If you are looking for a good value bike that has all the bells and whistles, and none of the costs associated with a well known brand, Reid is the way to go. When I wanted to start cycling but didn't want to have to sell my soul for a decent bike, a friend at uni referred me to Reid. On visiting their showroom I found the guys helpful and not condescending as I have found other bike retailers. I chose the Falco as it seemed the best value - high quality components at a fair price - as I wanted to start using it for triathlons as well as general commuting.
My Falco has survived three crashes and a year of regular riding without requiring any work. When I wanted my pedals changed I just popped in and it was done in five minutes for no charge, and a friendly face. When I see others riding Reids around the city of Melbourne, whether racing bikes or commuters, I give them a nod - they also made a good decision. - Madeline C, North Melbourne, VIC (9th March 2012)
