The "REID GRIFFON" is our latest model in our great range of bikes.
The Griffon is a bike designed with simplicity in mind, we had many customers asking "if we had a basic, tough singlespeed they could ride to the pub on, or simply to get from A to B". So we listened and the result is the Griffon a.k.a. "The Pub Bike" . Its a no fuss bike that requires very minimal maintenance and can handle a bit of rough treatment. It has a sealed bearing bottom bracket to increase performace and also decrease maintenance.
The simple singlespeed design removes the need to service gears, the gear ratio we have chosen(46teeth and 16teeth) is easy to pedal so going up hills is made easier. The Promax dual pivot brakes work very well and the riser handlebars makes for a comfortable riding position.
The frame and forks are made from quality 4130 chro-mo with top quality welds which makes the ride extremely smooth and comfortable. For an extra $60($299 in total) we can upgrade the wheels to an Alex rim DA-16 rim with a Formula sealed bearing hub, bikes with a sealed bearing bottom bracket and sealed bearing hubs at a normal retail store you would be looking at $700-$1000 or even more.
The Griffon doesnt pretend to be anything other than a great, reliable, low maintenance, affordable get round town bike. We offer a 15 year warranty on the frame and forks and 1 year on parts for your peace of mind. Customers can come in our store anytime and have a basic service done for FREE!!! Removable stickers for those that prefer the plain look.
