Nothing beats the ride quality of a steel framed Road or Touring bike.
Good quality chromoly steel absorbs road vibrations and responds when the rider gets up on the pedals to transfer more power to the road.
This vibration or “road buzz” damping quality of chromoly steel also makes the bike more comfortable over longer rides and regular commutes - meaning you cop less of a beating when the going gets tough.
The outstanding strength and stiffness qualities of 4130 chromoly steel also allows a thinner tube profile for that sleek, classic look that never goes out of style – which is handy, as this bike will last a lifetime. Even if you manage to drop it, steel can be safely repaired (unlike aluminium or carbon).
Steel has been used to build bikes since the earliest days of cycling. It’s always been popular but is now making a real comeback as more people come to appreciate the unique properties of this classic material. Steel is real!

- Very Solid Bike Review by tommygun
Price Quality Value
Without a doubt its a top quality frame (so solid) and no bad points other then the paint is a little thin on mine. (dropped my phone on the the top tube and it took a fair chunk of the paint out)
But Fair to say my phone is massive and probably would have done it to any frame
Any way 10/10 frame and would recommend it to anyone wanting a solid as heck commuter or weekend rider or whatever (Posted on 27/10/2016)

Reid Cycles ships bikes, parts and accessories anywhere in Australia!
Free shipping of bikes is available to most metropolitan and some regional areas. We also combined shipping wherever possible to keep the price down. Once you have one or more items in your cart, view your cart, pop your postcode in and we'll give you the combined shipping price. We are currently unable to ship to overseas addresses, please contact our customer services team to enquire about distributors in your area.
We aim to keep the price as low as possible by shipping smaller items for free if they can be shipped with larger items. Helmets, shoes and parts most often ship for free with your new bike!
Remember that bikes are shipped boxed, and 85% assembled. The final assembly required includes the installation of the handlebars, front wheel, pedals and saddle, adjusting the brakes and tuning the gears. We recommend that the assembly is done by a qualified bike mechanic or other suitably qualified person. Damage caused by incorrect assembly (such as installing the pedals the wrong way around) is not covered by your warranty.
Orders for items that are currently in stock are usually despatched within 1 to 2 working days. You'll receive an email with tracking information once the order has been despatched. Certain periods of the year are seasonably busy, with much higher volumes than normal. At these times, we still aim to despatch within 1 to 2 days, but deliveries may take a little longer due to our couriers' workload.
It's always best to send to an address that always has someone in attendance, such as a business address. You may also want to give our courier an 'authority to leave' instruction, which is an instruction to say that there is a safe place leave to delivery, even if there is no one there to take delivery. Only give us an 'authority to leave' if you're confident that the delivery will be safe. Otherwise, the courier can leave a 'sorry we missed you' card, allowing you to arrange redelivery.
Please contact us if you have any questions.
