Day 10 - We Spot the Ocean and Cross into SA

Elijah: DOUBLE DIGITS! We've hit the 10th day and it feels awesome! We've had a big tail wind too! The only part the wind didn't help us was when the road doubled back up a 2km hill. The hardest part of the day got even harder. As we began up the hill we looked around at the view and in the distance and spotted the ocean! It looked amazing and I wanted a swim so badly.

As soon as we got up the hill we turned ever more away from the wind and started doing 35km/h on flat! Soon enough we were crossing the South Australian border!

10cWhat a neat first way to see the state. Cruising through on a bike, not missing a thing. We stopped at a lookout for lunch and we could see the bight! It wasn't 'the view' but it was amazing. The coast, the cliffs and the beautiful bush.

Sarah: For lunch we stopped at one of the few scattered lookouts. We had sardines on bread, while looking at the great Australian Bite. Right before leaving I started chatting to a friendly couple who met up with another bike rider down the road heading in the same direction. She's doing it by herself and carrying her own gear. We have heard a lot about her from other travellers and I'm excited to put a name to face.

Elijah: We made our biggest day in the end knocking over 181kms with an average speed of 25.8km/h. When we hit the camp we still had heaps of daylight to chill out, have some carbonara, sit around the camp fire and have a jam with Gids as he practices for Greece.
