Built on the same Plus platform of wider rims and tyres for insane grip and control, the Vice 2.0 hardtail mountain bike builds on the original – offering significant upgrades in suspension, brakes and gearing for an even faster, more playful ride.

Plus mountain bikes are simply a huge amount of fun. The extra grip eggs you on to push harder, launch bigger and stay off the brake longer into the turns. They also climb like a mountain goat and grab the trail like a vice for ripping descents.

Plus mountain bikes are the perfect platform for the beginner or intermediate rider looking to really boost their trail-blasting abilities, while promising more advanced riders an agile bike that holds the ground like a Downhill rig.

The Vice 2.0 27 Plus mountain bike features a lightweight double-butted 6061 hydroformed alloy frame with a slack trail geometry and sloping top tube for riders who like to throw it around.

Running a Suntour Raidon 32 120mm travel suspension fork (air/hydraulic) with lockout and tapered steerer gives plenty of sensitivity for control, and plushness when you need it. The extra air volume in the tyres means this fork is all you’ll need to take on the big stuff.

Braking power is delivered by Tektro HD-M285 hydraulic discs (180mm front rotor / 160mm rear). Hydraulic brakes offer more power with less lever force required than other systems, which gives better modulation and control in all riding conditions.

The Vice 2.0 27 Plus is designed with reliable Shimano Deore M6000GS 1 x 10 speed gearing to keep it simple. Riding with one cog and no front derailleur is the preferred setup for Mountain Biking. This means more clearance over rocks and logs and one less lever to think about when pushing it.

The bike also features thru-axles which improve rigidity between wheel and frame, and ensures your wheels are always perfectly aligned and securely seated.

Plus mountain bikes run bigger tyres with higher volume - in this case 27.5 x 2.8”. This means incredible traction for climbing and descents, plus they bite into corners and soak up the hits. These bigger tyres mean wider rims; wider hubs, thru-axles and rear triangle on the frame to add stiffness and strength; a wider fork and wider spacing on the cranks to keep the chain line. This setup is known as the BOOST system and adds up to a whole lot of fun.

    Key Features:

    • Tough and lightweight double-butted 6061 hydroformed aluminium alloy frame with a slack head angle and aggressive trail geometry for riders who like to throw it around.
    • Suntour Raidon 32 120mm travel suspension fork (air/hydraulic) with lockout and tapered steerer for efficiency on the climbs and cushion on the descents.
    • Tektro HD-M285 hydraulic disc brakes (180mm front rotor / 160mm rear) for impressive bite and control under all conditions.
    • Trusted trail performance with Shimano Deore M6000GS 1x 10 speed. The ideal setup for simplicity and clearance over obstacles like logs and rocks.
    • Features thru-axles for improved rigidity between wheel and frame.
    • Built tough at 14.39kg.

      Service

Found the Vice 2.0 MTB best for modern features I needed and at an excellent price. Went into Brisbane store and also found a Gravel CX for my wife. Both bike have an awesome amount of fix points for brackets and storage too.

Richard and the team were really helpful. Customer service and assistance post sale has been fantastic. We both had fitting and items on bike to configure and the team were great to deal with, flexible and knowledgeable. Well done all, your post sales and service went above and beyond to help. We love our bikes too!!

      5 Stars

I love my vice 2.0, so much fun to ride. I had a 29er Merida Big Trail bike before this and I have to say the Vice is much more enjoyable to ride. I found confidence with this bike, it grips very well in the Perth Hills pea gravel, down hill felt fast, cornering was predictable. Uphill and technical sections weren’t as easy but changing to a 30t Deore crankset made life easier along with choosing different lines. The rear cassette isn’t the best but does the job. I love this bike and would recommend to anyone wanting a fun hard tail.

Solid bike, great specs for price

Compared a few bikes for the same dollar mark,

The vice 2.0 came in at best bang for buck with air suspension on the front and clutch on the back, and hydraulic disc brakes,

      Can’t fault it!
