Built on the proven Plus platform of wider rims and tyres for insane grip and control, the Vice 3.0 MTB is our flagship Plus hardtail mountain bike. Offering premium key upgrades in suspension, brakes and gearing for an impressive ride, the Vice 3.0 is the perfect partner for a session on loose rocky Summer trails or a Winter mud fest.

Plus mountain bikes are simply a huge amount of fun. The extra grip eggs you on to push harder, launch bigger and stay off the brake longer into the turns. They also climb like a mountain goat and grab the trail like a vice for fast, playful descents.

The Vice 3.0 27 Plus mountain bike features a lightweight double-butted 6061 hydroformed alloy frame with a slack trail geometry and sloping top tube for riders who like to throw it around.

The Vice 3 runs a bigger RockShox Recon RL 130mm travel suspension fork with Solo Air StealthBOOST, lockout and tapered steerer for plenty of sensitivity plus more travel for harder landings and bigger obstacles.

This mountain bike runs trusted Shimano Acera 401 hydraulic disc brakes (180mm front rotor / 160mm rear). Hydraulics offer more power with less lever force required than other systems, which gives better modulation and control in all riding conditions.

The Vice 3.0 27 Plus is designed with reliable SRAM NX Eagle 1 x 12 speed rear derailleur/shifter. Riding with one cog and no front derailleur is the preferred setup for Mountain Biking. This means more clearance over rocks and logs and one less lever to think about when pushing it.

The bike also features thru-axles which improve rigidity between wheel and frame, and ensures your wheels are always perfectly aligned and securely seated.

Plus mountain bikes run bigger tyres with higher volume - in this case WTB Trail Blazer Comp 27.5 x 2.8”. This means incredible traction for climbing and descents, plus they bite into corners and soak up the hits. These bigger tyres mean wider rims; wider hubs, thru-axles and rear triangle on the frame to add stiffness and strength; a wider fork and wider spacing on the cranks to keep the chain line. This setup is known as the BOOST system and adds up to a whole lot of fun.

Plus mountain bikes are the perfect platform for the beginner or intermediate rider looking to really boost their trail-blasting abilities, while promising more advanced riders an agile bike that holds the ground like a Downhill rig.

    Key Features:

    • Tough and lightweight double-butted 6061 hydroformed aluminium alloy frame with a slack head angle and dialled trail geometry for riders who like to throw it around.
    • RockShox Recon RL 130mm travel suspension fork with Solo Air StealthBOOST, lockout and tapered steerer for efficiency on the climbs and cushion on the descents.
    • Shimano Acera 401 hydraulic disc brakes (180mm front rotor / 160mm rear) for impressive bite and control under all conditions.
    • Trusted trail performance with SRAM NX Eagle 1 x 12 speed. The ideal setup for simplicity and clearance over obstacles like logs and rocks.
    • Bulletproof WTB Scraper i35 27.5 wheelset, with 2.8” WTB Trail Blazer Comp tyres running on sealed bearing 15mm thru axle hubs for improved rigidity between wheel and frame.

      Excellent bike for the price

Love the vice 3.0 I've thrown it down some rocky hills doing 50km/h and the front end laps the bumps. The brakes are out of this world and with the 2.8 tyres it pulls up harder and faster on the dirt than my motorbike. Gears are smooth and being able to lock the front end suspension with a flick of a dial makes getting up the steep hills easy as pie. I've thrown around 500km of riding on this bike and have truly enjoyed all of it. Only upgrade from stock are aluminium pedals. Get into it. 💪🚴‍♂️⛰️

Great bike for its price. A few missed gear changes at the high end but I'm sure it'll settle in after a few rides. Well balanced although still getting used to the large dia. tyres. Bars are a little wide cf. what I'm used to. It rides really well tho over cross country and handles well on moderate down hill. Can't wait to try it on more challenging terrain.

      Great bike

Delivery was fast and it was simple to assemble. Handles well, including some deep mud that the 2.8 tires help with. Gear changes are fast and accurate. I setup the ties tubeless, the rims were already taped, and it works well and are holding air perfectly. Overall great.

Minor improvements: bolt torque from the factory was very high, nothing lose at all but some far too tight. That's it.

      Brilliant value.
