", "\nThe undeniable benefits of these amazing bikes has driven a surge in popularity. Advances in battery technology have meant faster, smaller, more powerful units; while the motors have gotten smoother and more discrete.
The E-Trail 2.0 is a serious electric mountain bike optimised for riding singletrack and trails. This is a balanced eBike with the mid-drive motor unit located in the bottom bracket area and the powerful LG battery discretely integrated into the downtube to let you move the bike around as you take berms and obstacles at speed.
The E-trail 2.0 electric bike is built around a lightweight double-butted 6061 hydroformed alloy 29er frame with modern trail geometry. Internal cabling keeps the wires tucked away and safe.
A Suntour XCM32 120mm travel suspension fork with hydraulic lock out gives smooth control over broken ground and plenty of cushion to soak up the hits.
Powering the ebike is a light and unobtrusive Ananda M100 mid-drive 250 watt electric motor with an impressive 110Nm of maximum torque for plenty of power in tricky pinch climbs and over obstacles. This powerful motor coupled with the Shimano 9 speed drivetrain will give you all the range you need for riding the full hill.
The position of the motor in the bottom bracket area is optimal for keeping the centre of gravity low - for stable handling when descending on fast trails and when navigating technical climbs.
The E-Trail 2 is powered by a high capacity and fast charging LG 36 volt 10.4 amp hour battery pack, internally mounted into the downtube of the frame. This elegant design really lets you feel the bike when riding. Choose your level of assistance up to 25km per hour on the handlebar mounted display unit, and power through up to 100 kilometres on a single charge.
Braking power and control is delivered by the reliable and smooth NUTT Hydraulic Discs. Hydraulics offer more power with less lever force required than other systems, which gives better modulation and control in all riding conditions.
Running on the popular 29er standard rims with Maxxis Rekon 2.4” tyres, this electric mountain bike is ready to go.
Our range of Electric Bikes all include the industry-leading Reid Warranty: lifetime on frame and rigid forks, 2 years on non-consumable parts, 1 year/5,000 km (whichever comes first) warranty on eBike system components and 2 free services within the first 12 months. We also offer our Online customers a 30 Day Test Ride to guarantee you get a great deal.

Q. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF AN ANANDA MID DRIVE MOTOR?
\nMid-drive electric bikes offer more options in terms of gearing and smoother acceleration, plus it lowers the centre of gravity of the bike giving a more stable ride when in the air, riding over broken ground or cornering at speed.
\nQ. HOW FAST DOES AN EBIKE GO?
\nElectric bikes in Australia are limited to 250w and will assist you up to 25km/hr - going faster than this is up to the effort of the rider. Any motor providing more power will be classified as a motorbike and must be registered and ridden by a licenced rider.
\nQ. HOW FAR CAN I TRAVEL ON A FULL CHARGE?
\nThe range you can expect depends on how hard the battery is working. This will be affected by factors like the weight of the rider, how much luggage you’re carrying, tyre pressure, hills/terrain, road condition, wind and the level of assistance or power setting you use.
\nYou can expect the Shimano Steps system to last around 100km on the highest assistance setting even with hills and extra weight (ranges up to 185km under ideal conditions have been reported by Shimano in testing). The Bafang and Ananda electric bike systems will cover up to 70km depending on conditions.
\nQ. HOW DO I CHARGE AN EBIKE AND HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
\nSimply plug the charger into a standard wall socket at work or when you get home. To charge the Shimano Steps battery from 0% to 80% will take 2 hours, 100% in 4 hours. Most of the time though you’ll just need to top up rather than completely refill. Charging times are similar for the Bafang and Ananda systems.
\nQ. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CHARGE?
\nThe Shimano Steps system uses a 418Wh battery. At 30c/kWh x 0.418kWh = 12.5c for a full charge. Costs are similar with the Bafang and Ananda systems.
\nQ. CAN I RIDE IN THE RAIN?
\nYes, all of these units are sealed and made for all-conditions riding.
\nQ. CAN I SWITCH OFF THE ENGINE AND RIDE IT LIKE NORMAL?
\nYes. Remove the battery pack and it will feel very much like a normal bike.
\nQ. WHAT DOES ‘PEDELEC’ MEAN?
\nThe most popular electric bike system in Australia is the pedelec (or pedal assist) system. You ride a pedaled assisted eBike by pedalling as normal, while the electric motor adds power to each pedal stroke - flattening out the hills and getting you up to speed with much less effort.
\nQ. HOW OFTEN SHOULD I SERVICE MY EBIKE?
\nWe recommend your electric bike is serviced during the first 3 months of ownership as components bed in. Frequency of servicing after that depends on usage and what maintenance you choose to do yourself in terms of caring for the chain and other basic tasks. A regular rider who does not perform any maintenance may benefit from servicing every 6 months. Click here for more information on servicing.

Shipping
We offer a base shipping rate from $39.99 per bike to most of Australia. Orders containing kids bikes 20" and under will receive a discounted delivery rate at checkout. For orders containing only parts and accessories, we offer a flat rate of $9.99. Click here for more information regarding shipping.
Pre-Order
How do we know a bike is available for pre-order?
It's easy! Instead of seeing an 'Add to Cart' button on the product page, the button will read as 'Pre-Order'. It will also have text below the button with the estimated day of arrival at our Melbourne warehouse.
Is the estimated warehouse arrival date accurate?
After considering off all shipment processes and facts, we arrive at an estimated date. However, on occasion there may be factors outside of our control, which can cause subsequent delays - in which case, we will notify you accordingly.
What happens once my bike arrives at the warehouse?
Once it arrives, our warehouse team prepare your order and get this ready to send off with our delivery partners. This process generally takes 1-3 working days. Please allow 7-10 days to receive your order.
Click & Collect
Collection from one of our stores is always free! When collected in-store, your bike comes fully assembled by an experienced Reid Cycles mechanic, adjusted, and ready to go. Once your bike is ready for collection, our store team will be in contact with you. Please allow 5-10 working days (allow extra time for Perth store) after purchase to receive communication that your bike is ready to be picked up. For more information, please click here.
Bike Assembly
Remember that bikes are shipped boxed, and 85% are assembled. The final assembly required includes the installation of the handlebars, front wheel, pedals, and saddle, adjusting the brakes, and tuning the gears. We recommend that the assembly is done by a qualified bike mechanic or another suitably qualified person. Damage caused by an incorrect assembly (such as installing the pedals the wrong way around) is not covered by your warranty. Please see our 'How to guides ' for assembly instructions if you do choose to assemble a bike yourself.

For more information on our Returns Policy please click here.
Bike Servicing
When should I get my bike serviced?
As a general rule of thumb, Reid recommends you get your new bike serviced after 6 weeks of riding for adjustments as parts bed in. Following this, it makes sense to at least get a service Pre-Summer and Pre-Winter.
How do I receive my two free services?
Reid Cycles offers all of our new bike customers two free workshop services within the first 12 months of ownership. These free services are for the original owner of the bike only. Redeem these services at your local Reid Store.
What is included in my free services?
Brake adjustment, Gear adjustment (front and rear), Lubricate chain, Tyres inflated to recommended PSI, Brake pad adjustment, Check and tighten bolts, Headset check and adjust, & Suggested maintenance report.
Which Reid stores offer workshop servicing?
All of our stores have a workshop to help with all your bike needs. Just make sure you contact the store in advance to book in.
