The new Argon makes it affordable for more riders to enjoy the best of modern Mountain Bike technology. 1 by Shimano gearing, hydraulic discs, a single front thru-axle and an air fork to finish this cross-country and trail 29er.

Light, fast and designed with MTB geometry to handle the ups and downs of trail riding, the Argon is a versatile all-round Mountain Bike that opens up more possibilities for more riders - so you can expand your limits knowing the bike will ask for more.

Geometry and spec choices on this bike were made specifically for performance in the dirt. From jumps, rock gardens, technical climbs and fast descents - Argon 29er mountain bike has the answers.

The frame is a lightweight double-butted 6061 hydroformed alloy with a modern cross-country/trail geometry. Featuring mounts for a rear rack and two drink bottles, you can still set this bike up to perform many duties. The lightweight and easily adjustable Suntour XCR 32 Air 100mm travel suspension fork gives smooth control over broken ground and enough bounce to soak up the hits. The Hydraulic Lock Out feature will be appreciated by riders looking to maximise efficiency on big climbs.

Braking power and control is delivered by the reliable and smooth Shimano MT200 Hydraulic Discs. Hydraulics offer more power with less lever force required than other systems, which gives better modulation and control in all riding conditions.

The Argon sees the introduction of Shimano Deore 1 by gearing. Riding with one cog and no front derailleur is the preferred setup for Mountain Biking. 10 gears at the back gives you plenty of range, but the simplicity up front means more clearance over rocks and logs and one less lever to think about when pushing it.

The other big advance on the Argon is the use of a single front thru-axle. This improves rigidity between wheel and frame and ensures your wheels are always perfectly aligned and securely seated. Coupled with 29 x 2.25” WTB Nineline tyres, this bike holds the trail for a fast and responsive ride. The Argon runs 29er on durable and fast WTB ST i-25 rims to handle the knocks, and a WTB Volt Sport saddle to keep you comfortable throughout.

    Key Features:

    • Tough and lightweight double-butted 6061 hydroformed aluminium alloy frame with modern trail/cross-country (XC) geometry for improved trail performance.
    • Suntour XCR 32 Air 100mm travel suspension fork with hydraulic lock-out for efficiency on the climbs and cushion on the descents.
    • Upgraded Shimano MT200 Hydraulic Discs for remarkable stopping power and modulation control in the dirt and in the wet.
    • Off-road performance with Shimano Deore 1 x 10 gearing. The ideal setup for simplicity and clearance over obstacles like logs and rocks.
    • Finished with quality WTB kit - ST i-25 rims to handle the knocks, and a WTB Volt Sport saddle for comfort.
    • Features a single front thru-axle for improved rigidity between wheel and frame.
    • Tough and light for all day adventures at 13.85kg.

      Initial thoughts on Argon

The bike has a good frame and gears while the rims and tyres seem a little light duty for mountain biking. Assembly was easy but a washer was missing on one of the bolts attaching the neck to the handlebars.
