The 28"" Active 10 (featuring Shimano XT 10-speed Trekking gearing) electric bike delivers a sleek and cleverly designed package to answer all the challenges of riding around your city. All the conveniences you'd expect from a Corratec city eBike, but with a modern understated look. This model is the step-through frame for ease of use and stable handling, built using a triple wall construction for strength in a sleek design.
- New step-through model featuring a sleek new look, hub gears, internal cabling and the unique Fusion down tube for strength and stability.
- The Bosch Active mid-mount motor system features an 11 amp-hour battery, good for over 90 kilometres range under standard conditions
- The Shimano XT 10-speed Trekking gearing gives a wide range of gears with sure and reliable shifting.
The Corratec Active Nexus is the perfect bike for cruising, commuting and touring. It has all the modern conveniences that you'd expect from a sophisticated electric vehicle. It's been built from the ground up to make riding safer, easier, smoother and more comfortable. Large diameter wheels and tyres soak up bumps and vibrations, ably supported by the suspension fork.
The suspension seatpost, handlebars and headstem are fully adjustable to ensure a perfect rider position. The finer details are also taken care of, with full-length mudguards, anti-vibration dampeners in the handlebars, ergonomic grips and a very comfortable saddle.
From a technical perspective, it features hydraulic rim brakes which are smooth, powerful and reliable. It also features integrated front and rear lights, so you never need to worry about batteries or dynamos.
The Bosch Active electrical assistance system has variable support modes. 'Eco' mode is good for as much as 140 kilometres of rider support under normal conditions. Using full 'Turbo' mode, even very difficult conditions will give over 40 kilometres of boost. You can vary it according to your needs.
Corratec bikes use high quality Bosch motors, displays and battery systems. All batteries degrade over time, but the Bosch battery is warrantied to give you at least 70% of max capacity for 2 years or 500 full recharge cycles (whichever comes first).
Reid Cycles has a national network of stores where you can test-ride your new electric bike, and we're here to help you through every step of the process.

Corratec eBike Review – Advertiser Newspaper (SA)
"This is a no-mess, no-fuss bike. The build quality is unsurpassed: French rims, a Swiss kickstand, German pannier racks, tyres and mudguards – even a German bell. You get the idea. This is the sort of quality you’d associate with a Mercedes at a decimal point of the price." Gordon Kanki-Knight – eBike ReviewerSee full review

Reid Cycles ships bikes, parts and accessories anywhere in Australia!
Free shipping of bikes is available to most metropolitan and some regional areas. We also combined shipping wherever possible to keep the price down. Once you have one or more items in your cart, view your cart, pop your postcode in and we'll give you the combined shipping price. We are currently unable to ship to overseas addresses, please contact our customer services team to enquire about distributors in your area.
We aim to keep the price as low as possible by shipping smaller items for free if they can be shipped with larger items. Helmets, shoes and parts most often ship for free with your new bike!
Remember that bikes are shipped boxed, and 85% assembled. The final assembly required includes the installation of the handlebars, front wheel, pedals and saddle, adjusting the brakes and tuning the gears. We recommend that the assembly is done by a qualified bike mechanic or other suitably qualified person. Damage caused by incorrect assembly (such as installing the pedals the wrong way around) is not covered by your warranty.
Orders for items that are currently in stock are usually despatched within 1 to 2 working days. You'll receive an email with tracking information once the order has been despatched. Certain periods of the year are seasonably busy, with much higher volumes than normal. At these times, we still aim to despatch within 1 to 2 days, but deliveries may take a little longer due to our couriers' workload.
It's always best to send to an address that always has someone in attendance, such as a business address. You may also want to give our courier an 'authority to leave' instruction, which is an instruction to say that there is a safe place leave to delivery, even if there is no one there to take delivery. Only give us an 'authority to leave' if you're confident that the delivery will be safe. Otherwise, the courier can leave a 'sorry we missed you' card, allowing you to arrange redelivery.
Please contact us if you have any questions.
In Store Collection in one of our stores is always free! Your bike comes fully assembly, adjusted and ready to go. You can order online for pickup in store. The store will receive your order, assemble your bike and give you a call when it’s ready to collect! Whenever possible, we recommend collection in store. The bike will be fully assembled by an experienced Reid Cycles mechanic. Our staff will also be happy to help you make final adjustments, set saddle height and answer any other questions you might have!
