A Vintage Bike for the Modern Rider

      Esprit Superlite Vintage

Lets start with Reid Cycles and the buying experience.

I found Reid Cycles support staff for the most part pretty responsive. Sam especially was a big part of the decision process. He answered questions I asked about the bicycle I was considering in a way that helped me decide the best option and even went as far as checking stocks for one option I had considered before deciding to proceed with the bike I bought..

In the end I chose a bicycle based on their recommendations.

Now let’s get this out of the way up front. I am in my 50s and yes I am a 6’2” tall male. That said, I wanted a step-through bicycle and a vintage-looking cruiser to fit my personal style and what I wanted to do which was have a comfortable, upright ride to work and for leisure.

The Esprit Superlite Vintage Step Through Frame hit the mark on the style and look I wanted.

The bicycle was delivered in perfect condition and the delivery went smoothly.

Unpacking my new bicycle was a simple process that just needed a sharp knife and a bin for the various cable ties and other packing materials. With a basic level of skill you can put the Esprit Superlite together, most of it is pretty intuitive for anyone with a basic to moderate level and access to tools. It took a couple of allen keys, a spanner and screwdriver and I had a cruiser ready to ride.

So can the Superlite step though handle a tall man. You bet. Once I had it together I took it for my first test ride around the block…

Terrific light-weight bike, looks great, rides well. Small frame means feet can get in the way of front wheel on tight/ slow turns. Seat is very hard! Great price for the quality. Would recommend.
