Find your way to work each day and then get lost on the weekend. Meet the new flagship bike in our popular All-Road family – the Reid Granite 3.0.

Simply put, Gravel-grinders (AKA All-Road, Adventure Road or Dirt-Road-Racers) are like a beefed-up Road bike, built to handle the rigours of off-road use. If you’re familiar with the CX (Cylcocross) category which are designed for tight handling and sharp climbs, Gravel-grinders are in the same league but designed for performance over longer distances.

The features that make these bikes perfect for dirty distance racing across varied terrain also make them perfect for all-conditions commuting. So whether you have a fast 15 kilometre daily ride over less-than-perfect tarmac, or want to get out and explore a range of off-road terrains at the weekend - the Granite 3.0 is the one bike that will reliably take you there and get you back again.

The Granite 2.0 was a big hit with reviewers (feel the love in the reviews section at the bottom of the page) and customers who put the bike through its paces here and around the World.

For those who appreciate the finer things, we have pushed the concept with the Granite 3.0 and upgraded the frame, running gear, wheelset and brakes for a dream all-rounder:

  • A lightweight custom smooth-welded 6061 double-butted Alloy frame and tapered Carbon fork with extra clearance for wide tyres. The frame also features front/rear thru axles, plus front/rear rack and mudguard mounts. Getting to work or loading up for a weekend of bike trekking? The Granite 3.0 has you covered.

  • FSA Gossamer Pro, compact crankset (50/34) and 11-32t rear cassette for a huge range of gears for speed or to keep you moving on steep off-road climbs.

  • Shimano RS 505 hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors for powerful and controlled braking in the muddiest conditions.

  • WTB STP i19 rims laced to Novatec sealed bearing thru axle hubs for a bullet proof wheelset.

  • Equipped with Continental Ultra Sport II tyres in a 32C slick profile. These puncture resistant tyres are the perfect choice for an all-rounder that may take in commuting, endurance road and gravel riding.

For a limited time the Granite 3.0 comes with a free extra pair of Continental Cyclocross Race tyres for when you’re looking at some serious off-road.

Like every Reid Cycles bike, the Granite 3.0 comes with a Lifetime Frame and Fork Warranty, as well as a Two Year Warranty on all other non-consumable parts so you can ride it as hard you like.

The bike looks great… but what exactly is a Gravel Grinder?

Think of it as similar to a CX (Cylcocross) bike built for Endurance riding that is also perfect for all-conditions commuting over distance.

Gravel bikes run around a 32-35mm wide tyre (as opposed to your standard Road bike at 23-25mm). This helps protect against punctures, improves comfort in the saddle and they’ll also leave you less fatigued after riding along bumpy surfaces all day.

Gravel creates more rolling resistance so these bikes get more emphasis at the lower end of the range. For the Granite 3.0 we’ve chosen the latest Shimano 105 Compact groupset with an 11-32t cassette for solid all round performance.

Both Gravel bikes and CX are built tough for harsh treatment, and feature clearance for the bigger tyres and front/rear rack mounts for bike trekking and loaded commuting.

Although similar to Cyclocross bikes, Gravel-grinders feature more relaxed geometry with a slacker head tube angle, a lower centre of gravity and longer tube lengths for a more comfortable ride over longer distances. Cyclocross bikes are designed to accelerate fast and corner quickly at lower speeds, but this can feel a bit ‘twitchy’ on endurance rides along wide open gravel roads.

Most quality gravel-grinders feature disc brakes as they perform better in all conditions. If you’ve ever ridden to work in the wet, you’ll understand how this translates to a safer commute. The rock star of the Granite 3.0 is the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes which offer phenomenal stopping power in all conditions.

Awesome bikes, value and service is just the beginning. There are loads more reasons to choose Reid Cycles, find out here.

Reid Cycles ships bikes, parts and accessories anywhere in Australia!

Free shipping of bikes is available to most metropolitan and some regional areas. We also combined shipping wherever possible to keep the price down. Once you have one or more items in your cart, view your cart, pop your postcode in and we'll give you the combined shipping price. We are currently unable to ship to overseas addresses, please contact our customer services team to enquire about distributors in your area.

We aim to keep the price as low as possible by shipping smaller items for free if they can be shipped with larger items. Helmets, shoes and parts most often ship for free with your new bike!

Remember that bikes are shipped boxed, and 85% assembled. The final assembly required includes the installation of the handlebars, front wheel, pedals and saddle, adjusting the brakes and tuning the gears. We recommend that the assembly is done by a qualified bike mechanic or other suitably qualified person. Damage caused by incorrect assembly (such as installing the pedals the wrong way around) is not covered by your warranty.

Orders for items that are currently in stock are usually despatched within 1 to 2 working days. You'll receive an email with tracking information once the order has been despatched. Certain periods of the year are seasonably busy, with much higher volumes than normal. At these times, we still aim to despatch within 1 to 2 days, but deliveries may take a little longer due to our couriers' workload.

It's always best to send to an address that always has someone in attendance, such as a business address. You may also want to give our courier an 'authority to leave' instruction, which is an instruction to say that there is a safe place leave to delivery, even if there is no one there to take delivery. Only give us an 'authority to leave' if you're confident that the delivery will be safe. Otherwise, the courier can leave a 'sorry we missed you' card, allowing you to arrange redelivery.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

In Store Collection in one of our stores is always free! Your bike comes fully assembly, adjusted and ready to go. You can order online for pickup in store.
