Introducing the Osprey WSD: an all-round Road riding performer specifically designed for Women. The Osprey WSD is the first of our new generation of Women Specific Design (WSD) Road bikes and is the perfect fit for female riders looking for a long distance or fast, everyday use Road bike.
The Osprey WSD is a women's drop bar road bike that can go the distance.
Most Road bikes are designed with a male rider in mind, yet the average female body has very different proportions which affect how a road bike fits and feels. WSD is an approach to building bikes that starts from the ground up to better suit a female rider from frame geometry to crank choice to all the touchpoints, everything is reconsidered to better suit a female road rider.
The Osprey WSD features a 6061 Alloy Frame and a Carbon Fibre Fork. The frame is light, yet has excellent lateral stiffness for power in the sprints and the climbs. The carbon fibre fork provides a degree of vertical compliance to reduce road buzz while still giving precise handling.
The Alex double-walled aluminium alloy rims are light and strong. They're tough enough to suit an every day commuter, but light enough to enjoy long distance endurance rides or hill climbs. The lightweight alloy hubs are serviceable and adjustable for exceptional durability.
A 50/34 Tooth Crankset (front) with 11/30 (rear), combined with an 8 speed rear cluster, gives a wide, evenly spaced range of gears perfect for smashing hills. More smiles over more miles!
Shimano Claris shifters and derailleurs give outstanding reliability and performance. The Tektro Dual-Pivot Alloy Caliper Brakes provide great stopping power, excellent modulation and easy adjustment. Integrated brake and gear levers (Shimano STI) means that you can brake and change gears without moving your hands from the hoods of the Drop Bars.
The Osprey WSD offers the right balance between lightweight speed and a more upright, traditional road cycling posture to make it the ideal go-to bike for the regular rider who likes to fly. Combined with reliable, durable components and a light, stiff frameset – the Osprey WSD Road ticks all the boxes.

- WSD Geometry – we’ve designed a more compact frame and fitted a shorter stem that better suits average female proportions and centre of mass.
- WSD Touchpoints – we’ve fitted narrower handlebars to better suit female shoulder width, and a wider saddle to suit female sit-bones.
- Plus we’ve reduced the length of the crank arm to suit shorter riders and added a 25C tyre for improved comfort and grip without sacrificing speed.
- Lightweight alloy frame with internal cabling and a carbon fork. This bike gives a slightly more upright, traditional road riding position.
- The latest 8-speed Shimano Claris Cassette is durable and reliable, with integrated gear and brake levers.
- Alloy quick-release hubs with Alex double-wall alloy rims give you light, strong wheels.

Home Delivery
Our bikes are shipped in a box 85% assembled and require basic assembly, like turning handlebars and inserting pedals. Check out our Assembly Videos that give instructions on how to do this.

I recently purchased the Ladies Osprey Road Bike and I absolutely love it. It is so light and easy to take in the car. All running gear is excellent and it looks fantastic. Extremely happy.
