Vice 3.0 - 27 Plus

Plus bikes climb like a mountain goat and grab the trail like a vice on the corners and descents for a fast, playful ride. These bikes are the perfect platform for the beginner or intermediate rider looking to really boost their trail-blasting abilities, while promising more advanced riders an agile bike that holds the ground like a DH rig.

The perfect partner for a session on loose rocky Summer trails or a Winter mudfest, Plus bikes push you to hold more speed, brake less and go wider on the berms. They also give you the traction to forgive a less-than-perfect line in all conditions.

Plus bikes are the latest progression in Mountain Biking and the Vice 3.0 is our flagship bike – built with all the new features and standards in the new 27+ category:

  • Dialled performance trail geometry on a lightweight alloy frame. Tapered headtube, thru axles and rear rack mounts for those bike packing adventures. Features a slack 68 degree head angle, 760mm wide bars and short 60mm stem for the confidence to hit technical sections at pace.
  • Shimano SLX 1×10 gearing (11-40T cassette) with an FSA Comet 1 x crankset and BOOST 148 specific, Mega Exo bottom bracket for crisp, reliable performance.
  • Designed with the new wider BOOST 148 standard – 110x15mm thru axle hub up front and a 148x12mm thru axle at the rear with Formula sealed bearings. Effectively the front and rear hubs are wider and the cranks are adjusted to sit further out to improve chainline and allow for the wider tyre clearance in the frame. The wider hubs also provide greater wheel strength.
  • 130mm of air sprung suspension is provided by Rockshox Recon RL forks with 32mm stanchions, featuring Hydraulic speed lockout with rebound damping adjust. These forks provide minimum flex and are great for bombing down steep descents.
  • Shimano Deore M615 Hydraulic Disc brakes (180mm front, 160mm rear) for serious stopping control.
  • Big traction from 2.8” wide WTB Trailblazer tyres mounted to Alex MD40 27.5+ specific 40mm wide rims. This bike is tubeless ready so you can just add sealant and some valve stems to enjoy even more traction and the reliability of riding tubeless.
  • Lifetime frame warranty and two year suspension fork warranty for your peace of mind, as well as a one year warranty on all other non-consumable parts

Areas with a shipping surcharge:

Shipping of bikes is currently free to most of the Australian mainland and Tasmania. Due to the high costs of postage and on-forwarding for large items to remote island locations, however, these areas will incur a surcharge (Reid subsidise all shipping but cannot cover it all in all cases). The surcharge will be applied to your cart during the checkout process.

For more information, please call our customer service team on (03) 9314 9199

We do not ship outside of Australia. If you live overseas and would like to buy a Reid bike please visit our international website to view a list of retailers.

Estimated dispatch & shipping times:

Orders for items that are currently in stock are usually dispatched within 1 to 2 working days (business days only). You'll receive an email with tracking information once the order has been dispatched. Delivery times can vary depending on the size of the items ordered, with bulky goods taking longer than smaller items. Please note, some orders may be subject to a security check prior to being dispatched which may cause a delay. The below delivery estimates are calculated from the time of purchase:

  • VIC: 3-6 business days
  • NSW: 4-7 business days
  • SA: 4-7 business days
  • QLD: 4-7 business days
  • NT, Nth QLD: 6-9 business days
  • WA, TAS: 7-10 business days

Click & Collect - In-store pickup:

Collection from one of our stores is always free! When collected in-store, your bike comes fully assembled by an experienced Reid Cycles mechanic, adjusted and ready to go.

The store will receive your order, assemble your bike and give you a call within 2-5 days advising when your bike can be picked up. Whenever possible, we recommend collection in store. See full details on Click and Collect here.

Assembly:

Remember that bikes are shipped boxed, and 85% assembled. The final assembly required includes the installation of the handlebars, front wheel, pedals and saddle, adjusting the brakes and tuning the gears. We recommend that the assembly is done by a qualified bike mechanic or another suitably qualified person. Damage caused by an incorrect assembly (such as installing the pedals the wrong way around) is not covered by your warranty.

Please see our 'How to guides' for assembly instructions if you do choose to assemble a bike yourself.

Delivery method:

It's always best to send to an address that always has someone in attendance, such as a business address. You may also want to give our courier an 'authority to leave' instruction. Only give us an 'authority to leave' if you're confident that the delivery will be safe. Otherwise, the courier can leave a 'sorry we missed you' card, allowing you to arrange re-delivery.

Warranty:

  • A lifetime Warranty on every Reid bike frame we sell.
  • A lifetime Warranty on all rigid forks, including our carbon fibre range.
  • A 2-year Warranty on all suspension forks, Shimano components and Mavic wheelsets.
  • A 2-year Warranty on all other non-consumable components.
