Our popular Transit hybrid bike gets a sleek style upgrade, with the latest components and new hydroformed frame and forks for a streamlined profile.

Whether it’s a weekend bike path cruise, regular commute to work or pushing yourself on fitness rides - the Transit is the perfect bike for all-round everyday use. Agile, comfortable, efficient and fun for however you like to ride.

This versatile bike is built on a new lightweight hydroformed 6061 aluminium alloy frame with integrated headset; and features all the mounts you need to rig your ride with fenders, mudguards and pannier racks for luggage.

The geometry is designed for a nimble but balanced bike, with a comfortable posture to handle less-than-perfect urban roads and paths.

This is a bike for everyday use but thoughtfully designed in ways you may not even notice - the Transit will simply corner with ease, and quickly get you where you need to go in comfort.

Proven Shimano Tourney 21-speed gearing provides ample range to climb hills confidently, shift reliably and also get up to serious speed when you push it.

The Transit runs on wide 40 millimetre commuter tyres, fitted to durable double-wall alloy rims with quick release hubs to withstand the rigours of urban riding.

This bike is available in a range of colourways, and in unisex or a step-through WSD frame design. WSD or Women Specific Design is an approach to building bikes that considers female proportions to produce a bike more suited to a female rider.

Key Features:

  • Lightweight hydroformed 6061 aluminium alloy frame with integrated headset and braze-on mounts for pannier racks and mudguards.
  • Smooth and reliable Shimano EZ-Fire Plus 21-speed gearing.
  • Durable and lightweight double walled alloy rims with quick release hubs.
  • Fast rolling Kenda 700x40c tyres.

Good value but could have been better set up

I am enjoying the bike and I think it was a really good buy during the EOFY sales. I purchased it online and collected it at the store.

On the Saturday (noon) I was there to collect my bike there was only one person working and there were other customers waiting when she was testing my bike. She spent quite a bit of time with the gears and brakes, and it was obvious something wasn't properly set up as she had to do some adjustments.

When I got home I found the front gears wouldn't switch properly and the brake pads rub against the rims after riding for a while. I managed to adjust the brakes myself with some help from YouTube (I have no experience) but have not looked into the front derailleur issue. I am more than 27km from the store hence reluctant to bring the bike back just to fix what should have been done properly before handing the bike over to me.

It was not the fault of the girl who served me as the people who set up the bike did not do a good job in the first place. Poor girl she under pressure too with other customers waiting - not sure why they didn't have more staff on a weekend.

For the price I paid, I think the components are reasonable but the experience could have been much better. I'll probably wait for the annual service to get the front derailleur fixed at the store if I can fix it myself.

For anyone collecting their bike from the store it's probably advisable to ride around the block just to make sure there are no issues before you leave - especially if…

    Falling apart after 2 weeks

Pretty disappointed to be honest. Picked up the bike and out of the door the front derailer wasn't anywhere near set up correctly and wouldn't select the middle cog, it would also overshoot the third cog and send the chain off into no mans land. The tyres were both at only 20psi when I picked the bike up as well.

After three weeks of riding about 10km a day. The front derailer has gotten so bad that I got a bike mechanic to look at it who commented "who the f*** set this thing up?", and this morning the rear tyre completely dislodged itself from the rim of the bike while riding in a straight line on a flat bit of road.

Get what you pay for and all that, but this thing is bordering on dangerous
