Reid CX

Product Review (submitted on 26 December 2016):
Purchased early December in Adelaide, cycled 350 km, climbed 2500 m with it. It's true allrounder- commuter when needed (you can mount mudguards), training bike on other occasions. It flies up to Norton Summit or mount Lofty and you can also go bit offroad with Conti cyclocross tires. Claris works smoothly, and offers resonable gearing and quality (shimano borrwed a lot from higer end groups). Avid disc breaks are great value and offer pretty decent stopping power (better then similar rim breaks) regardless of conditions. Frame is sturdy due to double butted alloy but bit heavy which impacts acceleration- I had slower start from traffic lights compared to guys with 2 times more expensive carbon bikes but I was always able to catch them later. Geometry is cx- which means that bike is agile and fast responding. Only issues I had do far would be with comfort of saddle and handel bars- saddle and bartape could be softer and handlebar drops are too long for me but all mentioned are subjective and can be easily and cheaply changed.
