Our latest play on the popular Ares Fat Bike experience - the new '23 Ares is again tough, reliable and built around geometry optimised to handle the sketchiest terrain. This performance Fat Bike will take you anywhere from deep desert sand, to slippery snow and sticky mud - and get you home again in style.

The new '23 Ares Fat Bike runs even wider tyres than ever before with huge Kenda 26x4.5” fatties for amazing grip and the ability to traverse terrain that regular mountain bikes can’t even dream of attempting. If you want to explore new trails, rugged terrain and a riding experience like no other – the new Reid Ares will take you there.

The new season Ares features performance Fat Mountain Bike geometry and is built around a stiff, lightweight hydroformed 6061 alloy frame. The new frame sees an upgraded integrated headset for improved handling, control and feel when the trail gets gnarly.

This Fat bike features high-performance Tektro HD-M285 Hydraulic Disc Brakes which provide remarkable stopping power and control even when covered in muck.

The Shimano 1x10-Speed gearing provides optimal obstacle clearance while giving you enough range for pinch climbs or long sections of broken ground.

How tough is it..? One of our riders has recently completed the Simpson Desert Bike Challenge - 500km over 5 days in one of the harshest environments in the world.

    Key Features:

    • Colossal 26 x 4.5" Kenda K1151 fat bike tyres to dominate previously unrideable terrain.
    • Performance 6061 hydroformed alloy frame with integrated headset for improved control and feel.
    • Tektro HD-M285 Hydraulic Disc brakes for control in all conditions.
    • Shimano 1 x 10 speed for clearance, smooth shifting and all the range you need over the sketchiest terrain.

      Fantastic bike

I would highly recommend this bike, exceptional quality and value for money the quality and strength of the frame is far more heavily built than most of the fat bikes out there but still leaving it light enough to peddle with ease. I am 50 years old and I have done over 110 kilometres in a week on the bike on average I ride it approximately 20 to 30 kilometres per day.
