Introducing the future of ladies Sports Vintage bikes. An elegant bicycle with agile handling characteristics for nipping around the city, the Esprit also rolls effortlessly so you can comfortably take her for longer spins too.

The Esprit is a classically inspired bicycle that has been stripped back to the essentials of contemporary design. For riders who love the Vintage style, but demand a quick and nimble bike built to cover distance every day:

  • The frame geometry and riding position balances your weight evenly over both wheel axles for confidence inspiring control and ride feel.
  • Shimano Tourney 7-speed gearing with Rapidfire shifters for simple and smooth gear shifting.
  • Thinner tubing and considered build features to deliver a sleek frame finish. Smooth TIG welding, machined headtube and recessed brake mounts to maintain those smooth, classic lines.
  • Carefully selected quality, lightweight alloy components to keep your ride reliable and rust-free.
  • Quick acceleration and easy rolling from our durable and lightweight alloy double wall rims with high-grade Stainless Steel spokes.
  • Comfortable and long wearing leather style Velo saddle and grips.
  • At only 12.2kg the Esprit is around 3kg lighter than other Vintage bikes available and very easy to carry.
  • 4 traditionally inspired metallic colourways to choose from.

Reid is renowned for building Vintage bicycles that people love to ride - and the Esprit marks a new level of what you can expect from a beautiful bike that also delivers quality and lightweight performance at an amazing price.

Love my bike Review by Melisa
I decided to go with Reids when I tried out my friend's Reid Women's X1 bike and was impressed by its smooth ride, quality and value. I got taken by the look of the Esprit and bought this instead. Just had a couple of half day rides on my new Esprit through town on small hills, bitumen, bike paths and wooden jetties and I am well impressed with this bike! Its only 1.76kg heavier (proper vintage bikes tend to be much heavier), easy to handle and still excellent value for money. It's a tiny bit less smooth of a ride than the X1 bike but I would still make the same choice and am delighted with my purchase. The only major issue I had was that there were no instructions specifically for this bike- I had to instead go between the instructions of the vintage bike and commuter bikes as well as make some common sense guesswork to put the bike together. Fit for purpose Review by Shop Rider
I have had the bike for 3 weeks now and overall am very happy with it.

I love riding it.
Good looks.
Light weight (for the price) but feels strong.
Has mud guards which I wanted as an all weather shopping/city bike.
Comes with mounting points for baskets & carrier

The gear ratio is a little low for me. I only use gears 1 to 4.
7th gear needs a Lycra suit.
If you have hills in your area one more lower gear would be nice.
The handle grips sewing are a little rough on the hands

So glad I get this instead! Review by Petite cyclist
This isn't my first choice but I'm glad my husband push me to pay that extra $ over the other vintage bike at Reid. It is light and I feel I'm always in control- which is a huge point as I am a beginner and there are a few hills where I live. I added the front basket and have been using it to store light groceries even though I did it for 'chic' sake originally. Huge thanks to Josh and Matt at the Glebe store. Your patience is much appreciated. All in all money well spent. (Posted on 6/04/2016)
I love my new bike Review by Linda
I was thrilled to receive my new Ladies Esprit this week just 2 days after ordering it! I love everything about it. The pale blue colour looks amazing and it rides really smoothly - I'm extremely happy. The seven gears are perfect for my needs. I nice mix of retro cool and zippy transportation gets a big tick from me. And such a good price. Thanks Reid. :) (Posted on 12/03/2016)
