The Urban S is our simple answer to city riding. Durable and comfortable with the features you need to get around town - all for a value packed price.

The Urban S is the perfect all-round city bike for riders on a budget. A sturdy steel frame with tough components that get the job done, day after day.

Steel is a strong, flexible material that gives top performance for the money. It makes for a bomb-proof bike that soaks up road vibration, giving you a comfortable ride no matter which route you choose to take.

Proven Shimano Tourney 1 by 7 twist-shift gearing keeps things simple with all the range you’ll need in the city, but without a front derailleur to get knocked around in the bike rack. Fewer moving parts means less to maintain, so you can just get on and ride.

True to the simplified nature of this bike, the brakes are alloy V for easy maintenance and operation.

The Urban S runs on wide 32 millimetre commuter tyres fitted to durable double-wall alloy rims to withstand the rigours of urban riding.

Key Features:

  • Durable, thin-tubed steel frame with upright riding position and built in mounts for front/rear pannier racks
  • Shimano 7-speed gearing at rear and a single ring up front to give you all the gears you need for the city, while saving weight and simplifying the bike

    Wish I’d paid more

I bought this bike with the intention of using it as my commuter to work. It does exactly that, and is a simple and smooth ride. The gears are simple and do the trick. Overall I wish I’d paid more and got a more expensive model with disk breaks and a lighter frame. Despite pedalling hard it is a very slow bike compared to those around and takes a lot of effort to pick up speed. It’s also a huge shame that Reid are no longer in Adelaide. You just don’t get the honest feedback you need when jumping in and buying the bikes.
