Upgraded 2024 model. Featuring the all-new Shimano CUES gearing and improved Tektro Hydraulic Disc brakes, Australia’s best value 1x10 MTB just got better. A simple, rugged, and progressive 29er hardtail MTB for riders looking to experience Mountain Biking and develop their trial skills while having a blast doing it!

The Tract 3 MY24 sees the introduction of the much anticipated Shimano CUES gearing in 1x10. Riding with one cog and no front derailleur is the preferred setup for Mountain Biking. 10 gears at the back give you plenty of range, but the simplicity upfront means reduced weight, more clearance over rocks and logs, and one less lever to think about when pushing yourself.

Designed for riders who are looking for a quality entry to the world of Mountain Biking on proper trails, singletrack, and XC; the Tract range brings the most up-to-date standards in MTB geometry and specification at this price point.

Light, fast, and designed for a confidence-inspiring ride, the Tract hydroformed double-butted alloy frame features slacker angles and a low-slung top tube for manoeuvrability and control in corners and descents. Geometry and spec choices on this bike were made specifically for performance in the dirt.

The lightweight and easily adjustable SR Suntour XCM30 100mm travel suspension fork gives smooth control over broken ground and enough bounce to soak up the hits. The hydraulic lock-out feature will be appreciated by riders looking to maximize efficiency on big climbs or long hauls over flat ground.

29-inch wheels are the modern standard for Mountain Biking and getting on a 29er has never been as accessible as the Tract. 29 x 2.25” Compass MTB tyres coupled with durable double-wall alloy rims will hold the ground for a fast and responsive ride.

Stopping power and control are delivered by trusted Tektro Hydraulic Disc Brakes with 160mm rotors. Hydraulics offers more power with less lever force required than other systems, which gives better modulation and control in all riding conditions.

The Reid Tract range is the best value way to get into Mountain Biking on a progressive, trail-ready 29er MTB that is built to take the demands of the sport. The Tract is a real-deal MTB built from the ground up for singletrack, jumps, rocks, technical climbs, and fast descents.

Key Features:

  • Tough and lightweight double-butted 6061 hydroformed aluminium alloy frame with internal gear cable routing and tapered headset for increased stiffness (cornering precision and better feedback from the trail).
  • Modern trail/cross-country (XC) progressive geometry with slacker angles and low standover for confidence-inspiring off-road performance.
  • Lightweight SR Suntour XCM30 100mm travel suspension fork with a hydraulic lock-out for efficiency on the climbs and cushion on the descents.
  • Tektro Hydraulic Disc brakes with 160mm rotors for stopping power and modulation control in the dirt and in the wet.
  • Trail performance with the cutting-edge Shimano CUES 1 x 10 gearing. The ideal setup for lightweight simplicity and clearance over obstacles like rocks and logs.
  • Upgraded drivetrain includes new threaded bottom bracket and narrow/wide chainring design with anti chain-drop device for improved retention.

    Love it!

Have ridding the CRAP out of mine. Daisy Hill, Bunyaville, Ironbark, BVRT, Noosa Enduro 100, a few smaller races, hills, roads, she's been RIDDEN. Taking it to JAPAN for an adventure in 2024. The components are "entry level", but they've been great! I'm only changing the brakes out as the Nutt system is really hard to find bleed kits for, the thread is standard but you need a longer thingy.

Got roughly 9 months out of the stock tyres.

I got this when it was full price, about 2 years ago, a fair deal! Even got my friend to buy one! His got stolen, so at least it's universally popular.

    Wrapped ta bits

Can feel “Quality” as soon as u start riding it. And I’m tired of being stopped and told “the bike looks awesome” by friends and neighbours. Was definitely worth the train trip to Melbourne to the showroom retailers are selling bikes with the same set up and comparable brands for double the price in regional areas. That’s why I buy from Reid
