The new Argon makes it affordable for more riders to enjoy the best of modern Mountain Bike technology. 1 by Shimano gearing, hydraulic discs, a single front thru-axle and an air fork to finish this cross-country and trail 29er.
", "\nLight, fast and designed with MTB geometry to handle the ups and downs of trail riding, the Argon is a versatile all-round Mountain Bike that opens up more possibilities for more riders - so you can expand your limits knowing the bike will ask for more.
\nGeometry and spec choices on this bike were made specifically for performance in the dirt. From jumps, rock gardens, technical climbs and fast descents - Argon 29er mountain bike has the answers.
\nThe frame is a lightweight double-butted 6061 hydroformed alloy with a modern cross-country/trail geometry. Featuring mounts for a rear rack and two drink bottles, you can still set this bike up to perform many duties. The lightweight and easily adjustable Suntour XCR 32 Air 100mm travel suspension fork gives smooth control over broken ground and enough bounce to soak up the hits. The Hydraulic Lock Out feature will be appreciated by riders looking to maximise efficiency on big climbs.
\nBraking power and control is delivered by the reliable and smooth Shimano MT200 Hydraulic Discs. Hydraulics offer more power with less lever force required than other systems, which gives better modulation and control in all riding conditions.
\nThe Argon sees the introduction of Shimano Deore 1 by gearing. Riding with one cog and no front derailleur is the preferred setup for Mountain Biking. 10 gears at the back gives you plenty of range, but the simplicity up front means more clearance over rocks and logs and one less lever to think about when pushing it.
\nThe other big advance on the Argon is the use of a single front thru-axle. This improves rigidity between wheel and frame and ensures your wheels are always perfectly aligned and securely seated. Coupled with 29 x 2.25” WTB Nineline tyres, this bike holds the trail for a fast and responsive ride. The Argon runs 29er on durable and fast WTB ST i-25 rims to handle the knocks, and a WTB Volt Sport saddle to keep you comfortable throughout.
\nOur range of Mountain Bikes all come with the industry leading Lifetime Frame Warranty, 2 years on parts and Two Free Services within 12 months of purchase at any Reid store. Visit our stores to try the bikes or shop online for our 30 Day Test Ride to guarantee you get a great deal.

Shipping
We offer a base shipping rate from $39.99 per bike to most of Australia. Orders containing kids bikes 20" and under will receive a discounted delivery rate at checkout. For orders containing only parts and accessories, we offer a flat rate of $9.99. Click here for more information regarding shipping.
Pre-Order
How do we know a bike is available for pre-order?
It's easy! Instead of seeing an 'Add to Cart' button on the product page, the button will read as 'Pre-Order'. It will also have text below the button with the estimated day of arrival at our Melbourne warehouse.
Is the estimated warehouse arrival date accurate?
After considering off all shipment processes and facts, we arrive at an estimated date. However, on occasion there may be factors outside of our control, which can cause subsequent delays - in which case, we will notify you accordingly.
What happens once my bike arrives at the warehouse?
Once it arrives, our warehouse team prepare your order and get this ready to send off with our delivery partners. This process generally takes 1-3 working days. Please allow 7-10 days to receive your order.
Click & Collect
Collection from one of our stores is always free! When collected in-store, your bike comes fully assembled by an experienced Reid Cycles mechanic, adjusted, and ready to go. Once your bike is ready for collection, our store team will be in contact with you. Please allow 5-10 working days (allow extra time for Perth store) after purchase to receive communication that your bike is ready to be picked up. For more information, please click here.
Bike Assembly
Remember that bikes are shipped boxed, and 85% are assembled. The final assembly required includes the installation of the handlebars, front wheel, pedals, and saddle, adjusting the brakes, and tuning the gears. We recommend that the assembly is done by a qualified bike mechanic or another suitably qualified person. Damage caused by an incorrect assembly (such as installing the pedals the wrong way around) is not covered by your warranty. Please see our 'How to guides ' for assembly instructions if you do choose to assemble a bike yourself.

For our eScooters, we offer a 1-year Warranty on any manufacturing issues/faults
For eBike components - 1 year or 5000kms (whichever comes first). Commercial use is excluded from this warranty.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Bike Servicing
When should I get my bike serviced?
As a general rule of thumb, Reid recommends you get your new bike serviced after 6 weeks of riding for adjustments as parts bed in. Following this, it makes sense to at least get a service Pre-Summer and Pre-Winter.
How do I receive my two free services?
Reid Cycles offers all of our new bike customers two free workshop services within the first 12 months of ownership. These free services are for the original owner of the bike only. Redeem these services at your local Reid Store.
What is included in my free services?
Brake adjustment, Gear adjustment (front and rear), Lubricate chain, Tyres inflated to recommended PSI, Brake pad adjustment, Check and tighten bolts, Headset check and adjust, & Suggested maintenance report.
Which Reid stores offer workshop servicing?
All of our stores have a workshop to help with all your bike needs. Just make sure you contact the store in advance to book in.
