Good Bike for the price
Early days, but for the price point the bike is good and over all comfortable to ride. Handles steep hills with an ease. Only gripe maybe the gear changing is a bit noisy. Fun to ride.
Reid Cycles
Hi William, Thanks for leaving a review! Glad to hear you are enjoying your new bike. Noisy gear changing is potentially a sign of under-tensioned derailleurs, or poorly set limit screws. If it's a cable tension issue, it will likely continue to get louder as the new cables on your bike stretch and get looser. You can follow this video guide for the rear derailleur: https://youtu.be/GBsRcNPRK3g?si=NlNNCgq8MTUzn3kN Or this one for the front: https://youtu.be/vRw2Y9WNmQ0?si=WfWyKpzC_n50stIl If it continues to get worse I recommend heading into a local bike shop for a gear tune! Kind regards, Lauren
Happy rider
Having had a Reid "commuter" bike a few years ago I always wanted a replacement and this transit fills the bill completely. It is comfortable, fast and easy to ride, the quality of the fit and finish is excellent. I will now be ordering some accessories and parts like a rear mudguard, kick stand and better grips. My old bike had superb grips for long distance, these stock grips just don't have the same feel.
Good value for money
Good bike for simple commuting and although a little clunky, it's extremely good value for money. Very happy!
